July Program: Watercolor Demo by Rocky Alexander

Come beat the heat in the cool of the Cary Arts Center while watching master watercolorist Rocky Alexander paint a beautiful magnolia flower and glossy leaves. While you observe her expert technique, she'll share the valuable tips and tricks she teaches in her watercolor classes. Handouts will summarize the key points to aid your own studio practice.

About Rocky

Roxanna (Rocky) Alexander is an award-winning artist and signature member of the Watercolor Society of North Carolina (WSNC) and Louisiana Watercolor Society (LWS). She has been a full-time artist and instructor since moving to NC in 1993. Her background includes working as a Licensed Landscape Architect (in California and Arizona), and painting in watercolors, oils with palette knife, and recently acrylic portraits.
