The February 2021 presenter is North Carolina Museum of Art (NCMA) special exhibition curator for Front Burner: Highlights in Contemporary North Carolina Painting, Ashlynn Browning.
Ashlynn will talk about the process of choosing artists and artwork for this current North Carolina artists exhibition. This exhibition is located at the museum's east building, it is free and open to the public (masks and social distance required). Exhibition ends on February 14th 2021. Mrs. Browning will also answer questions from the participants.
Monthly Member Meetings start with brief FALC announcements followed by a presentation (demonstrate or lecture) on art-related topics. A variety of guest speakers from the art community are invited. Presentation are suitable for artist of all levels.
Monthly meetings are the fourth Thursday of each month (January - October), and are usually held at the Cary Arts Center, on Dry Avenue, in Downtown Cary. Meetings are open to the public. Registration is not required.
